New Amplified Instructor in Training:


Hayley received her Pilates Certification through Pilates Sports Center here at Amplified.  She was invited into our Instructor in Training Program.  Although she is a fully certified instructor, she is partaking in our “instructor boot camp” in order to learn even more than she already knows.

Find out a little Hayley inside scoop…. 

How did you first come across Pilates? 
I first came across Pilates in December 2015.  I had been recommended by a friend to try Amplified Pilates Center FullSizeRender (52) and immediately fell in love Pilates.  I loved how similar it was to the principles of dance and felt like I was not only being physically challenged, but mentally as well.  I loved that!

How did your Pilates career begin? 
My Pilates career is just beginning! I recently completed a 450-hour certification program at Amplified through Pilates Sports Center.  I am now fully certified in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair and have also completed a Pilates Pregnancy Workshop for my continuing education credits.

Why are you excited to join Amplified’s Instructor in Training Program? 
I am BEYOND excited to join the Amplified Instructor in Training program!  Although I am technically certified, I feel that this program will help me become an even better teacher for my clients so that I can really help program their sessions in a customized way.  Plus, I will be surrounded by all the amazing teachers already at Amplified and will be able to learn from all of them!

FullSizeRender (53)What is your favorite peice of equipment?
Some days my favorite piece of equipment is the Reformer because it was the first apparatus that I used when I was introduced to Pilates.  I feel comfortable on it.  Recently, I’ve developed a love-hate relationship with the Chair.  I never knew that a chair could make you so sore!

What is your favorite cheat meal? 
My favorite cheat meal is a burger and fries.  Some of my friends know me as the Burger QueenJ  And, what city has better burgers than Chicago? 

What is your favorite TV Show? 
Hands down, my favorite TV show is Game of Thrones.  It is the best series ever created for TV and I highly FullSizeRender (51)suggest you start watching if you don’t already. 

Favorite Movie? 
My favorite movie is Dirty Dancing.  It’s such a classic.  I could watch it every day and not get sick of it.  Plus, I love Patrick Swayze.

 Favorite Pilates exercise? 
My favorite exercise is leg circles on the Reformer.  I think the first time I did this is when I really fell in love with Pilates.  Seriously, does anything feel better at the end of a session?

I love teaching Pilates because I know that Pilates works.  I’ve seen the way that is has helped me with my own body awareness and can’t wait to share that with all of my clients.  I’ve never felt leaner and stronger in my life and want my clients to be able to feel that same thing.  I always leave the studio feeling good about myself, whether I’m teaching or taking a class.  I want people to know that Pilates is more than just a physical workout.  It’s a mind-body connection that helps with overall happiness and well-being.  What’s better than that?
