FAQs

What if I need to cancel?

If you must cancel an appointment, please do so with 24 hours notice to avoid paying for the full session. Please call Amplified Pilates Center at 847-271-9745 or call your instructor individually. If we do not answer your call, please leave a voicemail. You can also email your instructor. This is the only way to cancel and avoid being charged.

What if I need to use my cell phone?

Studio policy is to have cell phones turned off during sessions as to not disturb other paying clients sessions. In case of emergency, we ask that you put your phone on vibrate. Please step outside the studio space if you need to take/make a call as to not disturb other clients.

There are ample lockers available. We do not provide locks so please bring your own. Please note that Amplified Pilates Center is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. Please remove your shoes before entering the studio.

How does payment work?

We accept cash, check, MasterCard, visa or American express.  First time sessions do require a credit card to hold appointment time.

How do I get a duet partner?

If you are interested in participating in duet sessions, please notify your instructor. We will try our best to find you a suitable partner.  However, it is most beneficial for ease of scheduling if you have a friend, acquaintance or loved one that you can pair up with.

This is my first visit to a Pilates studio, what should I expect?

You will have a small amount of paperwork to fill out, so please arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early. We have rooms for you to change your clothes and lockers to store your belongings. We do not provide locks so please bring your own.  If you arrive late you will forfeit the lost time, as most instructors have a session immediately after yours and we try to be courteous of all our clients.

What should I wear to work out in?

Wear workout apparel that you are comfortable in.  Shoes are not needs. We do recommend grip socks for better traction on the equipment.  Grip socks are required for group classes, duets and trios.  They are not required for private but are recommended.  We recommend that woman wear their hair up and men wear biker shorts underneath any baggy shorts.

I have a Pilates video at home, why should I come to a studio?

The personalized attention you will receive at Amplified Pilates Center will help you achieve your goals a lot faster than a video.  The video is a generic workout. At Amplified we will customize your workout to your goals and needs.

Can I do Pilates if I'm pregnant?

Definitely! Pilates is amazing for pre and post pregnancy. Just take a peek at our testimonials.  The clients themselves will tell you the enormous benefits.  We will require that your doctor has cleared you for exercise.
