Why amplified?

I opened Amplified in 2011 because I wanted to create a studio that made people’s lives better. When I came across Pilates in 2001, I was suffering from nagging back pain due to previous rhythmic gymnastics injuries & misalignment after competing competitively . After 3 months of training, twice a week, my pain was gone. Pain that doctors & physical therapy hadn’t fixed. I knew that I genuinely wanted to help others the way Pilates helped me, so I completed a 500 hour certification program.

Raised in a family of business owners & I spent many holidays learning about customer service. I saw 1st hand the joy of impacting customer’s lives by listening to their story & caring enough to help them. One of the amazing aspects of Pilates is it is great for every body. We’ve helped clients 15 -86 through rehab, marathon train. get “bride posture ready” & pre/post natal, as well as those that just want to move stronger, have better posture or just want to give their body the self care to live a better life. So no matter your why, we are passionate in hearing your story & dedicated to helping you achieve your goals! No matter how simple or complex; we care & look forward to connecting with you.

OUR PILATES PRINCIPLES

1.png

Learn to properly coordinate deep and mindful breathing, which will cleanse and invigorate the mind and body.

4.png

Start from the “center” or core, allowing the upper and lower body to move with more power and control.

7.png

Precise and deliberate exercises. Don’t just workout to workout. Workout to amplify your body, mind and life.

2.png

Quality over quantity. Movements and exercises are done with good form over quantity or speed.

5.png

Exercises flow from one to the next challenging strength, control, stamina, range of motion, coordination and form.

8.png

Relaxation is found through breath work, mobility work, and an hour that is all about you.

3.png

Muscular control against the natural resistance of gravity and the artificial resistance of the equipment.

6.png

Proper postural alignment is imperative for the body to continue to function properly and stay pain free.

Exercises flow from one to the next with few breaks, building and challenging stamina.
